Girls' Night at the Helsinki Music Centre

Photos ⎮ kuvat: Sini Pennanen/ Sininen Kuva #helsinkimusiccenter

ENG A perfect meeting place in the center of Helsinki? If you ask photographer Sini Pennanen, the answer's most probably going to be the Helsinki Music Centre.

And it's no secret that the place is packed with beauty for all senses: art, architectural details, and a restaurant seating up to 200 guests. A champagne bar! And music, of course. (If you're on a budget, you can enjoy a selection of "Bargain Culture". For more, see the Music Centre pages!) – I agree, this is a perfect spot for a girls' night out!

Samppanjabaari! Ja luonnollisesti musiikkia. Tarjolla on myös valikoima "Kulttuuria pikkurahalla", lue lisää Musiikkitalon sivuilta. – Olen samaa mieltä, tämä on täydellinen paikka tyttöjen illalle!

Sini's wearing an IvanaHelsinki dress from the A/W 2012–2013 collection "Tapiola-Kauniainen". The hat is from Salerno, Italy, but you could easily create one yourself by stitching felt patterns, e.g. butterflies, to an old hat.

For later, for the extra energy, there's a Barebar Red Berries berry and date bar with no additives (Leader Foods), as well as Total 25 by Suomen Voimaruoka,  containing a number of rich superfoods.

PS

This is the photographer's fav photo of the Music Centre, designed  by LPR Architects and inaugurated on the 31st August 2011: a red staircase in an otherwise understated building that aims to unify the surroundings, as opposed to competing with them with a grand architectural gesture; the architects' original entry was indeed titled "A Mezza Voce".
