PS⎮Recycled Robot-size

ENG On a more positive note, build cardboard guitars (lovely!) with your children this weekend or take them to exhibitions.

I did the latter a week ago: I took my nephews Oula and Niila, 6 and 2 years (I have four nephews altogether), to Sami Leutola's, he's a former school friend, exhibition of recycled works – robots and funky mouths constructed of horse shoes and wooden teeth – that "ponder upon the concepts of time, humanity, operating models, religion, politics and freedom".  When I asked the robot-size exhibition-goers whether the robots were cool, Oula answered firmly: "Yes, and Sami's nice – I could start working on things like that... " Thanks Sami! (The exhibition is open through Sunday, February 24th at Gallery Espoonsilta.) 

FIN Rakentakaa tänä viikonloppuna lastenne kanssa pahvikitarat (ihana ajatus!) tai viekää heidät näyttelyihin. Minä vein viikko sitten siskonpoikani Oulan 6 v. ja Niilan 2 v. (minulla on kaikkiaan neljä siskonpoikaa) taivastelemaan Sami Leutolan, entisen koulukaverin, kierrätysmateriaaleista koostamia teoksia – robotteja ja hevosenkengistä rakennettuja irvileukoja (näyttelyn nimi on "Ajan Hammas") – jotka "pohtivat aikaa, ohjattua järjestystä, inhimillisyyttä, toimintamalleja, uskontoa, politiikkaa, sekä vapauden käsitettä". – Kun kysyin robotinkokoisilta näyttelyvierailta, oliko hienoja robotteja, Oula vastasi napakasti: "Joo, ja Sami on kiva – minäkin voisin alkaa tekemään tuollaisia teoksia... " Kiitos Sami! – Näyttely avoinna sunnuntaihin, 24. helmikuuta Galleria Espoonsillassa. 

ITA Su una nota più positiva, costruite chitarre di cartone (che idea sfiziosa!) con i vostri bambini questo fine settimana oppure portateli alle mostre. Io l'ho fatto la settimana scorsa: sono andata alla mostra di opere di recupero di Sami Leutola, un ex compagno di banco. con i miei nipoti Oula e Niila, 6 e 2 anni (ho quattro nipoti in tutto). Le opere erano robot e bocche buffe costruite con ferri di cavallo e denti di legno, che "fanno riflettere sul concetto di tempo, umanità, modelli operativi, religione, politica e libertà". Quando poi ho chiesto ai visitatori delle stesse dimensioni dei robot se gli erano piaciuti i robot, Oula ha risposto con fermezza: "Sì, e Sami è simpatico – potrei iniziare a lavorare su cose come queste..." Grazie Sami! (La mostra è aperta fino a Domenica, 24 febbraio presso Galleria Espoonsilta.)
