ENG My favorite Finnish interior design magazine is definitely Deko! In its October cover it features architects Satu Ratinen and Markku Sonninen's home (above), calling it "genuinely cozy."
In the cover image you can catch a glimpse of the guest room and a visual artwork composed of tennis balls and a heteka (an old Finnish iron string bed that I already mentioned here), and in the living room there's Kerskakukka (or 'Conspicuous consumption flower', not in the images), a work of art in which the couple has glued all plastic bottle caps it has accumulated this year.
The magazine also interviewed Artek's CEO Mirkku Kullberg for the issue and goes ahead to tell us how an Ilse Crawford designed café will be set up at the company's flagship store this Fall – look no further than the motto of this blog to know how much I appreciate the work of this designer!

FIN Suomalainen sisustuslehtisuosikkini on ehdottomasti Deko! Lehden lokakuun numeron kannessa on arkkitehtipariskunta Satu Ratisen ja Markku Sonnisen koti (yllä), josta sanotaan, että se on "aidosti kodikas".
